PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater detection device capable of realizing a stabilizer function with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A refraction unit 10 is provided on the front side of an ultrasonic transducer 1, and liquids 11 and 12 are filled therein in two layers. The liquid 11 is a liquid not soluble to the liquid 12, and larger in sound velocity in liquid and smaller in specific gravity than the liquid 12. Since an ultrasonic wave 20 emitted from the transducer 1 is passed in the refraction unit 10 with refraction, the ultrasonic wave 20 can be transmitted substantially in the just under direction even if a hull is oscillated.
