PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the turning angle of rotary bodies by simple calculation processing without causing a large error in a turning angle detecting device for a multiply rotatable steering wheel used for a car body control system of automobile. SOLUTION: A magnet 5 is incorporated into the second rotary body 3 connected so as to rotate at a speed lower than that of the first rotary body 1, and a first detecting means 14 is arranged just under the magnet 5. A magnet is incorporated into the third rotary body 6 connected so as to rotate at a speed faster than the first rotary body 1, and a second detecting means 15 is arranged just under the magnet. When the first rotary body 1 rotates, the second rotary body 3 and the third rotary body 6 rotate, and the magnets incorporated into the respective rotary bodies rotate. The direction of magnetic force penetrating through the detecting means 14 and 15 changes, and output changes. The output is calculated by an arithmetic circuit part 16, and a turning angle of the multiply rotatable first rotary body 1 is detected.
