PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out smooth and sharp bending in pleated parts (bent parts) while making the shape retaining properties in flat planar parts in pleats firm in a net for a screen door freely foldable with the pleats. SOLUTION: This method for producing the net for the screen door freely foldable with pleats comprises using core-sheath structural yarns having a peripheral surface coated with a low-melting resin as yarns, braiding at least one plait of usual synthetic resin fiber yarns in the pleated parts in the longitudinal direction running the folds of the pleats at a prescribed interval, pulling out the core-sheath structural yarn in the weft direction, braiding the whole, then bending the pleated parts, carrying out heat processing at a temperature of the low melting point, providing the shape retaining properties of flat plates by partial fusion of the braided part with the core-sheath structural yarns in the whole and making the net freely flexible in the pleated parts.
