PURPOSE: Provided is a polybutylene phthalate(PBT) resin composition which comprises an epoxy compound, a catalyst for accelerating the reaction of epoxy and carboxyl end of the PBT, and a flame retardant of epoxy bromide, as well as the PBT, and which has improved long-term heat resistance, heat/moisture resistance, and molding property. CONSTITUTION: The composition contains (A) 40-90 wt% of PBT resin; (B) 0.1-10.0 wt% of epoxy compound having an epoxy group; (C) 0.1-10.0 wt% of epoxy compound having two epoxy groups; (D) a catalyst for accelerating a reaction of the epoxy and carboxyl end of the PBT; (E) 1.0-30 wt% of epoxy bromide; (F) 1.0-10 wt% of antimony trioxide; and (G) 3-50 wt% of glass fiber and inorganic filler based on the sum of the components(A),(B),(C),(D),(E), and (F). The compound(B) has a structure of the formula 1(wherein R1 is an aliphatic or aromatic compound, or a mixture thereof).
