PURPOSE: A seat for the interior of a vehicle is provided to secure improved adjusting ability by having a seatback to be adjusted according to the wall of the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: Seats(3,4) for the interior of a vehicle(1) has at least one seatback(4).The seats are adjacent to a wall(7) of the vehicle body. The seat back at least can be adjusted relative to the wall of the vehicle body, wherein at least one adjusting apparatus(9) is provided which is secured on the one hand to the seatback and on the other hand to the wall of the vehicle body, and which is flexible in form in order to permit the movement of the seatback, and which is rigid in form in order at least to retain the shape during the movement of the seatback as extensively as possible. The screen apparatus has several dimensionally-stable slats which are overlapped one over the other in a parallel fashion over at least one flexible coupling segment.
