PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact point life diagnosis method capable of specifying the utility of a relay contact point which must be changed over without allowing current to flow to the contact point as the use condition of a relay and diagnosing the life of the relay contact point. SOLUTION: The relay contact point is opened and closed in the state that current flows, a sample is acquired every specified times of history, the volume of transfer formed on the contact point acquired as the sample is measured, the measured transfer volume is determined as a sample value, and the number of the times of the history is specified to diagnose the life by comparing the transfer volume determined as the sample value with the other transfer volume formed on the relay contact point to be diagnosed.
