PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent occurrence of a heat haze phenomenon of a projected beam due to exhausted hot air in a projection type display arranging a projection lens and the exhaust port of an internal heat source in the front of an outer casing and improved in its operability. SOLUTION: The projection lens 12 and 1st and 2nd discharge ports 15, 16 for independently exhausting heat from two internal heat sources having mutually different temperatures are arranged in front of the outer casing 2 and 1st and 2nd baffle plates 24, 30 for guiding air so that hot air 41, 42 exhausted from the 1st and 2nd exhaust ports 15, 16 do not enter into the projected beam flux 62 projected through the lens 12.
