PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide projection type image display device and system capable of displaying the same image as a projected and displayed image also on an external display device arranged on another place, and when a plurality of images are inputted, capable of easily projecting and displaying a required image. SOLUTION: The projection type image display device is provided with image input parts 100A to 100C capable of inputting a plurality of image information in parallel, projection display means 106, 108 for selectively projecting and displaying the plurality of image information supplied through the image input parts 100A to 100C, an image output part 114A for outputting the image information supplied through the image input parts 100A to 100C and displaying the image information on an external display device 201 such as a monitor device, and a control means 115 capable of setting up a 1st mode for outputting the image information displayed by the projection display means out of the plurality of image information from the image output part and a 2nd mode for outputting image information optionally selected from the plurality of image information from the image output part.
