PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector having sufficient coupling efficiency by reducing the inclination of an optical fiber holding member end surface in relation to an optical element. SOLUTION: The optical fiber connector is provided with a pair of inner cylinder bodies 6, 7 into which an optical fiber holding member 11 holding and fixing an optical fiber 12 is inserted, a split sleeve 9 which is placed between the pair of inner cylinder bodies 6, 7 and is spread by the insertion of the optical fiber holding member 11 and has a slit, an outer cylinder body 5 which includes the pair of inner cylinder bodies 6, 7 and the split sleeve 9, and a receptacle housing 1 which supports the outer cylinder body 5. An inner peripheral surface at the side of the slit 9a of the split sleeve 9 is deflected inside the inner peripheral surface of the inner cylinder bodies 6 and 7 (direction of arrow A), and the outer surface of one end of the inner cylinder body 6 is joined to the opposing end surface of the split sleeve 9. The outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of inner cylinder bodies 6, 7 are held by the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder body 5, and the optical fiber holding member 11 is pressed to and brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pair of inner cylinder bodies 6, 7 by the split sleeve 9.
