PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for adjustment in assembly and to simplify calibration by reducing the influence of temperature change and changes due to aging. SOLUTION: A drive signal applied to a differential transformer is generated, and at the same time, offset correction and gain correction to the output signal of the differential transformer are conducted digitally, thus eliminating the need for variable resistors. In addition, providing a circuit for compensating for phase shift between an output signal and an input signal from a probe enables many kinds of probes, cable extension, and the like to be coped readily.
