PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air heater where a body case is provided with a forcibly stopping means to forcibly stop combustion of a combustion part when a supply grill is removed from a body case and a humidifying pan can be removed safely and easily. SOLUTION: The hot air heater comprises a body case 11 having the supply grill 14 in which a hot air outlet 14B is formed and an air inlet 15; a blast duct 18 to intercommunicate the air inlet and a hot air supply port; a fan 34 for convection and a heat exchange part 20 disposed in the blast duct 18; a combustion part 21 to feed combustion hot air in the heat exchange part; the humidifying pan 40 arranged in a position opposed to the supply grille; and a receiver 36 to removably hold the humidifying pan. The body case is provided with the forcibly stopping means to forcibly stop combustion of the combustion part when the supply grille is removed from the body case.
