PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the protection of a cooling pipe for a waste incinerator. SOLUTION: A U-shape refractory brick has a U-shape in front view and is capable of receiving the cooling pipe 2 in a U-shape groove 16 as tight as possible while whose side parts 17, 17 are provided with a height extended so as to exceed the position of the upper surface of the cooling pipe and provided with a required length. The U-shape refractory brick is provided with a lower groove 18 having an enlarged groove wider than that of a slit at the deep end of the slit opened axially in the U-shape groove, and an upper grooves 19 opened at the deep end of the slit opened in the inner surface at a position upper than the upper surface of the cooling pipe in the left and right side parts and provided with another enlarged part wider than that of the slit. A lower plate 20 having a configuration aligned and engaged with the lower groove is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the cooling pipe and an upper plate 21 having a configuration that whose both ends are aligned and engaged with the upper grooves is provided while nut members 23 are fixed to the upper surface of the cooling pipe and are formed so that bolts 22, penetrated through the upper plate, are screwed and clamped freely.
