PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ash extrusion device which reduces the amount of ash and scum in a rear region and thus drastically reduces frequency of cleanup operation in the rear region. SOLUTION: A first seal plate 11 is provided to an inner wall of an ash extruding duct 4 in such a way that a space 20 is defined between the lower end of the plate and the inner wall portion opposite thereto, and that the lower end is positioned lower than the lowest part 4b of a height H of the upper inner wall surface of the duct 4. The plate 11 is dipped in cooling water 10 having a water level WL which is lower than the position of the part 4b. Thus, a discharging function of wet ash C and a function of sealing water from the outside air at an ash inlet 2 are exerted as in a conventional device. Meanwhile, the water level WL is rendered to be lower than in the conventional device to reduce the amount of back flow, i.e., from an ash inlet region 3 to the rear region 6, of the cooling water 10, which accompanies the movement of an ash extruding member 5.
