PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodecomposable woven fabric for material use, free from the intrinsic defects of polyester fiber and polyamide fiber and having thin, light, strong and tough texture. SOLUTION: The warp and/or the weft of the woven fabric are composed of a polylactic acid fiber, the sum of the density of the constituting yarns of the fabric is >=180 lines/inch, fabric weight of the woven fabric is 40-200 g/m<2> and the fabric is heat-treated at a temperature of 150-180 deg.C in dried state.
