PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool EGR gas with the compact and simple constitution without working a cylinder head in a complicated shape. SOLUTION: An intake manifold is connected to an intake air port 20 arranged in the cylinder head 3. A gasket 30 and a plate member 40 are arranged between the cylinder head 3 and the intake manifold. An EGR gas passage 43 is formed in the plate member 40 for recirculating the EGR gas EG to the intake air port 20 of the cylinder head 3. Cooling ribs 45A to 45E for cooling the EGR gas EG are formed around this plate member 40.
