PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a part for opening and closing and increase the productivity and assemblage of a closing member by forming the cooling jacket opening part of a mount case in a structure closed by a cover body independent of the mounting surface of an engine small block in a water-cooled outboard motor. SOLUTION: This outboard motor comprises an exhaust manifold 40 communicating with the exhaust port outlet of a cylinder head, an internal passage 54 communicating with the exhaust manifold, disposed in a recessed part 51 inside the mount case 50, and communicating with an exhaust expansion chamber 67, a cover 56 connected to an opening 52 in the recessed part and forming a cooling water chamber 58 around the internal passage, and a means for introducing cooling water into the cooling water chamber. |
