PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis medium formed of an organic/inorganic composite polyacrylamide group aqueous gel having excellent transparency, resistance against breakage, good operability, and a mechanical characteristic enabling machining of a sample injection port into an optional shape and to provide an electrophoresis device using this medium by improving mechanical brittleness of a polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis film. SOLUTION: This electrophoresis medium is formed of the organic/inorganic composite polyacrylamide group aqueous gel containing an acrylamide group compound polymer A, an expansive clay mineral B uniformly dispersible in water, and water C as three components, and the water C is included in a three-dimensional network structure constructed of the acrylamide polymer A and the clay mineral B. This electrophoresis device uses this medium. |
