METHOD FOR ACTIVATING PASSENGER PROTECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a trigger of a passenger protection device at an appropriate time so as to avoid a danger to passengers accompanying with delay of a conventional device. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by the method comprising a step for measuring a rotation acceleration of an automobile making a rotation axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle as a center using a rotation acceleration sensor device; a step for evaluating this measurement result using a calculation unit in order to make weighting of a traveling condition compared with a periphery; a step for activating the appropriate protection device in the case where it is evaluated that falling down of the automobile is imminent.
