ORGANIC-INORGANIC COMPOSITE FILLER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition for dentistry capable of suppressing a polymerization shrinkage, having good handleability of the paste, having excellent surface lubricity and abrasion resistance of the cured product and having a high mechanical strength of the cured product in relation to the curable composition for dentistry essentially comprising a radical polymerizable monomer, a filler and a radical polymerization initiator. SOLUTION: The composite filler obtained by reacting a reactive radical- polymerizable monomer such as isocyanatoethyl methacrylate to a functional group-containing composite filler prepared by polymerizing and curing a polymerizable composition comprising an inorganic filler, the reactive radical- polymerizable monomer such as hydroxyethyl methacrylate and the radical polymerization initiator and then crushing the reactional product and having much radical polymerizable group at the surface thereof is used as the filler for the curable composition for dentistry.
