PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural pest control composition having high control activity against the agricultural pest, and to provide a method for controlling the pest. SOLUTION: This agricultural pest control composition contains an ether compound expressed by the general formula (1) (R is methyl or ethyl) and 4-phenoxyphenyl 2-(2-pyridyloxy)propyl ether (common name; pyriproxyphene). The method for controlling the pest comprises treating a habitat of the pest with the agricultural pest control composition.
