PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which has a high curing rate and, simultaneously, excels in scorching stability and retention of shape and, in addition, can prepare a vulcanized rubber article without blooming in the surface and a small value of compression set, i.e., a vulcanized article having excellent sealing properties, and its vulcanized rubber article. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a specific ethylene based copolymer rubber, a vulcanizing agent, and, as the vulcanization accelerator, a thiuram and, if necessary, a thiazole and a dithiocarbamic acid salt. Furthermore, a blowing agent can be incorporated into the rubber composition. The vulcanized article can be obtained by vulcanizing this rubber composition.
