PURPOSE: Anti-reflection film onto plastic optical substrate and method for forming the same is provided, which have an excellent anti-reflection property wide frequency band having visible ray range and near infrared Ray. CONSTITUTION: In an anti-reflection film, at least first layer is made of a transparent layer which is composed from TiO2, SiO2, ZrO2, Cr2O3, and the thickness of the layer is 10Å-500Å. Second layer is composed of MgF2 and Si02 and the center wavelength is λ0 and the thickness of an optical film is 1/8λ0-1/2λ.
