PURPOSE: A foldable keyboard for a mobile communication device is provided to offer convenient and efficient utility for all keys without significant interference. CONSTITUTION: A housing having a top cover which provides an operational surface of an electronic device is formed. A screen(3) is constructed at a central location in the operational surface to provide a visible display of information to a user. The operational surface is divided into left and right panels(5,6) by the screen(3). Function keyboards(10,11) are constructed in the first and second portions. The first portion is constructed in the left panel(5), and the second portion is constructed in the right panel(6). Each of the function keyboard portions has the array of keys consistent with a selected function. The function keyboards(10,11) are exposed for the operation of the user.
