DIGITAL IMAGE STORING DEVICE SYSTEM BASED ON PC USING PLURALITY OF USB CAMERAS

PURPOSE: A digital image storing device system based on a personal computer using a plurality of USB(Universal Serial Bus) cameras is provided to simply connect a plurality of USB cameras directly or in the cascade manner by using USB optical communication extension cables or USB hubs. CONSTITUTION: A digital image storing device system based on a personal computer using a plurality of USB cameras includes a personal computer(100) having at least more than one USB port(190,191) and windows computer management system, an optical communication extension cable(200) for the USB bus having an optical communication interface module for converting or reversely converting electric signals of image data to optical signals to extend a transmission distance of image data transmitted to the USB ports beyond a communication distance of the USB bus, and a plurality of USB cameras(220-224) connected to the USB ports directly or via the extension cable, wherein a plurality of the USB cameras are connected to a single USB port in the cascade manner by using a single or plurality of USB hubs(210-212) and/or single or plurality of extension cables(201-203).
