PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, an image processing unit and an image forming device that can reproduce a pixel shape with low resolution at a printing job with high resolution according to a simpler sequence. SOLUTION: A resolution conversion section includes a storage means (31) that stores an image with low resolution and a resolution conversion means (32) that references a target pixel and pixels adjacent to the target pixel at its upper/lower/left/right positions in the storage means (31) and converts the target pixel into a plurality of pixels with high resolution so as to reproduce a pixel shape with low resolution on the basis of a plurality of pixels with high resolution according to the result of reference. Since the pixel shape of the image with low resolution can be reproduced with high resolution in the case of converting the image with low resolution into an image with high resolution, interchangeability for print results can be maintained. Moreover, since it is required to reference only the target pixel and the adjacent pixels for the conversion method, the merit of high resolution conversion can be realized with a simpler circuit configuration in comparison with that for a method of executing complicated smoothing. |
