PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of realizing stable image formation by realizing the stable carrying of a toner carrier by enhancing close contactness between the toner carrier and a developing roller and restraining the deviation and the meandering of the toner carrier in the midst of rotating the roller. SOLUTION: The developing device has a rotationally driven developing roller 20 and a toner carrier 10 constituted of a cylindrical, cylindrical thin layer member having longer peripheral length than the peripheral length of the roller 20 and fitted on the roller 20 and by applying bias between the toner carrier 10 and the roller 20, the toner carrier 10 and the roller 20 are rotated while they are brought into close contact with each other by electrostatic power. |
