LARGE DIAMETER FIBER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large diameter fiber capable of obtaining a numerical aperture(NA) larger than that of a conventional and having high latitude for designing. SOLUTION: The large diameter fiber 10 to be used to transmit energy and/or images as light is composed of a photonic crystal fiber having a packed core 11 forming the fiber center and a clad 12 formed to cover the core 11 and having a photonic crystal structure formed in the radial direction of the fiber.
