PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery case in which a countermeasure is made for the temperature rise of the battery while maintaining the performance of the resin case of prior art, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The battery case 1 comprises an opening, side part and bottom part, and is formed in a bottomed hollow shape of which the inside becomes a battery forming part or a battery housing part 10, and the side part comprises a resin part 2 and a metal plate 3 of which whole and a part is embedded in that resin part 2 and is exposed from the resin part 2 at least on the bottom side. With this structure, the battery easel is, as a whole, cooled efficiently and the heat does not stay locally, and the temperature rise inside the case is suppressed, and thereby, it prevents the drop of electromotive force of the battery and early deterioration of the electrolyte and the electrode.
