PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve high speed responsiveness of reading and efficiency of reading latent image charges stored in a charge storing section of a solid-state radiation detector, in which an electrode layer irradiated with an electromagnetic wave for reading is formed, by alternately arranging first stripe electrodes for transmitting the electromagnetic wave for reading and second stripe electrodes for shielding the electromagnetic waves for reading. SOLUTION: A DC voltage is applied between second stripe electrodes 27 and a first electrode layer 21. To set an electrical distribution formed between the electrodes 27 and the layer 21 by the applied DC voltage, in a state with latent image charges localized in a charge storing section 29 corresponding to the electrodes 27, a radiation image is recorded with a first stripe electrode 26 opened, an image signal acquiring means 50 is connected to the electrodes 27, and both the electrodes 26 and 27 are grounded to perform reading.
