PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a locking tool capable of positively locking a nut in a random fastening position. SOLUTION: The locking tool for a nut is characterized by that it has thread ridge fitting parts 1a, 1b, and 1c formed by winding a wire into a coil shape and fitting into thread ridges 3 of a bolt between one windings and thread ridge going over parts 2a and 2b going over the thread ridges and returning to a bolt tip side, it is reversely wound as a whole to the thread ridges 3 of the bolt, and a coil tip part 5 is fixedly attached to a nut end face.
