PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar radiation shielding device allowing a weight member of sufficient weight to be fitted without enlarging an intermediate rail. SOLUTION: In this solar radiation shielding device, a bottom rail is suspended and supported from a head box through a first elevating cord, and the intermediate rail 3 is suspended and supported from the head box through a second elevating cord. An upper shielding material is disposed between the head box and the intermediate rail 3, and a lower shielding material is disposed between the intermediate rail 3 and the bottom rail. The bottom rail can be elevated by operating the first elevating cord, and the intermediate rail 3 can be elevated by operating the second elevating cord. A weight member 21 is fitted to the intermediate rail 3, and the weight member 21 can be inserted into the intermediate rail 3 from the upper part or lower part of the intermediate rail 3.
