PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to change volume or shape of a box. SOLUTION: A volume variable box 10 of rectangular parallelepiped shape having an open upper side is provided with four corner pieces 11a to 11d composed of three same sized square sheet members, each surface is perpendicular to each other, two sides of each are connected to two sides of each other at least two second corner pieces 21a and 21b composed of two square sheet members of the same shape as above-mentioned square sheet members, each surface is perpendicular to each other, one side of each being connected to one side of each other, and a plurality of connection members 41a to 41h for mutually connect the adjacent first corner pieces and second corner pieces to each others when the first corner pieces 11a to 11d themselves or the first corner pieces 11a to 11d and the second corner pieces 21a and 21b are made into a rectangular parallelepiped shape.
