PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when an initialization signal is inputted from a host while a printer executes the charging operation of a secondary battery, the charging operation is interrupted in opposition to will of a printer operator and the initialization is performed. SOLUTION: The electronic device which receives electrical power from a chargeable battery inhibits an interruption (S27), when the battery charging is instructed (S22) and cancels (S30) the inhibition of interruption to terminate the charging process when the charging operation of battery is terminated (S29).
