PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a holding angle of a tray by a simple means. SOLUTION: Protrusion members 13 are provided on both sides of a tray cover of a tray case 3. A protrusion member 13 is shaped like stairs, it is provided with top faces 13a and 13b, and it can rotate around a shaft 13c. When installing the protrusion member 13 on the tray cover 12, either one of the top faces 13a or 13b is positioned in the rear in response to the type of recording paper by rotating the protrusion member 13 around the shaft 13c and the shaft 13c is forced in. The face positioned in the rear of the top faces 13a and 13b of the protrusion member 13 abuts on flange part 2b formed in a device body side, and by this, the tray is held in an optimum angle. When the top face 13b is in the rear, the tray is held obtusely, and when the top face 13a is in the rear, the tray is held acutely.
