PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a smear as needed, and to provide high grade recording and stable conveyance of a sheet material. SOLUTION: A paper delivery tray loaded with recorded sheet materials selectively takes different receiving positions by fluctuation. A paper delivery support in its upstream side selectively takes a protruding position into a course of the sheet material and a non-protruding position. When conveying a sheet material with high stiffness, the paper delivery support is in the non-protruding position not supporting the sheet material, and the sheet material is horizontally advanced by abutting the paper delivery tray on the sheet material at a high receiving position and gradually lowering it while receiving the sheet material. When conveying a sheet material with low stiffness, the paper delivery support supports the sheet material at the protruding position, and by receiving the sheet material at a low receiving position by the paper delivery tray, the sheet material is horizontally advanced and contact timing with the recorded sheet materials already loaded on the paper delivery tray is delayed.
