PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape retainer for a shirt collar which can be simply mounted on a shirt collar portion and can retain a shape of a collar stably and reliably. SOLUTION: An elongate strip body 1 is formed of a thin sheetlike material having appropriate nerve and flexibility. Hooks 2 and 2 to engage with a button 8 of a shirt A are formed at both ends of the body 1. A pair of right and left recesses 3 and 3 to be fitted over shoulders 7 of the shirt A are formed at a predetermined interval at a lower rim of the body 1. An intermediate region 4 of the body 1 sectioned by the recesses 3 and 3 is formed to be slightly wide. The body is inserted from behind the collar 6 of the shirt A on which it is fitted over, and the hooks 2 and 2 are fitted over the button 8 at an upper end of the shirt A, whereby the retainer can be simply attached.
