PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic blade for regulating the developer amount which suppresses production of deposited matter on the sleeve and hardly causes degradation in the image quality. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, the rubber elastic layer of the developer regulating member is made of a silicone rubber source material. In the method for manufacturing the blade member for regulating the developer amount, the following silicone rubber is used. The silicone rubber is obtained from polysiloxane having vinyl groups in the molecule and from a silicate compound having hydrosilyl groups in the molecule, with the molecular weight of the polysiloxane having vinyl groups in the molecule showing a peak in the range from 1,000 to 25,000 in terms of the number average molecular weight. |
