SOLUTION: In the optical disk unit which is so composed that a pickup 6 is moved in the radial direction of the disk by means of a pickup transfer shaft 10 which is provided with a transfer groove on the outer periphery and is rotationally driven with a pickup transfer motor 9, a grease guard member 13 which prevents the sputtering of the grease toward the lens surface of the pickup 6 is arranged in parallel with the pickup transfer shaft 10.
