PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a magnetic head slider and to improve the durability by improving the impact resistance in operation and improving the bending workability of a load beam. SOLUTION: A magnetic head slider support mechanism is provided with a flexure 30 which supports the magnetic head slider, a load beam 20 which supports the flexure and applies load to the magnetic head slider in the disk direction, and an arm 10 which supports the load beam, and the load beam 20 forms a spring part 23 having an aperture part in the vicinity of the end part of the arm, and an extension part 12 extended toward the magnetic head slider beyond the spring part is provided in the front end of the arm, and displacement for impact of the load beam is restricted by the extension part, and the width of the extension part is made shorter than that in the moving direction of the aperture part.
