PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the lightness of images on a plurality of monitor screens, even in a remote environment by providing matching control for the brightness of such images at a low cost, without requiring expensive colorimeters. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a step for preparing a printed matter 11 for reference, selecting step for a reference monitor 1, output display step for a reference image 3, step for controlling lightness so that the reference monitor 1 can be viewed with the same brightness and the same color tone as the image of the printed matter 11 for reference, step for outputting and displaying the image of the same contents as the image of the printed matter 11 for reference, on each of other monitors 21 which are to be controlled except for the reference monitor 1, step for assigning recorded RGB values to each of the other monitors 21, and step for finely controlling the RGB values of the respective other monitors 21, so that the output display image on each of assigned other monitors 21 can be viewed with the same lightness and the same color tone as the image of the printed matter 11 for reference, in comparison with viewing.
