PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface modifying treatment method by which the high temperature oxidation resistance of a base material consisting of a Ti-Al based alloy can sufficiently be improved. SOLUTION: Fluorine ions are implanted into a base material consisting of a Ti-Al based alloy in a fluorine ion-containing plasma by a plasma base ion implantation method.
