PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truck for an escalator that can safely and smoothly carry an object of conveyance, such as a person in a wheelchair and an infant in a baby carriage, in a continuously horizontally maintained state via a simple mechanism, without an improvement on a normally used escalator. SOLUTION: The truck for an escalator, which has front wheels and rear wheels on a lower surface of a bottom plate and carries an object of conveyance when loaded on movable steps of an escalator, is equipped with an extendable mechanism near each or either of the front wheels and the rear wheels and is capable of being carried by the escalator while maintaining a horizontal state of the object of conveyance when the extendable mechanism is extended or retracted according to vertical motion of the movable steps of the escalator. Advantageously, existing products of both escalator and wheelchair can be used.
