PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring and evaluating method of photocatalyst activity of a thin membrane-based photocatalyst material, and its device. SOLUTION: This measuring method of the photocatalyst activity of the photocatalyst material has high sensitivity and high reproducibility and its device are characterized by measuring the change of the absorbance of Methylene Blue solution in a specific wavelength by irradiating the Methylene Blue aqueous solution and a sample put in a spectral cell with light of an irradiation lamp, applying a laser beam having the specific wavelength from the rectangular direction against the irradiation of the lamp, receiving the intensity of the beam passing through the solution by a silicon photodiode, and measuring its output current, to thereby quantitatively measure the photocatalyst activity. Therefore, the photocatalyst activity of the thin membrane-based photocatalyst material including a titanium dioxide thin membrane can be measured with high sensitivity, high accuracy and high reproducibility.
