PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery having excellent storage characteristics in the case of a lithium battery using manganese dioxide for a positive electrode 2. SOLUTION: This lithium battery is characterized in that manganese dioxide with boron of 0.1 to 3 wt.% added thereto is used for the positive electrode 2 and a lithium alloy with aluminum of 0.05 to 2 wt.% added thereto for a negative electrode 1. Preferably, this battery is characterized by using a positive electrode prepared by heat-treating the manganese dioxide in the range of 350 to 430 deg.C after the addition of boron. |
