PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption of a light-emission device. SOLUTION: Power consumption of this display device is suppressed, while preventing a current flowing into a light-emitting element from being increased according to the rising of temperature either by inverting the light and the darkness of an image according to the brightness of the image which is to be displayed on a pixel part or by reducing the number of bits while eliminating bits of a digital video signal which is to be inputted to the pixel part from a lower rank side or by making the magnitude of a current flowing into the light-emitting element provided in the pixel part to be kept always constant, even when the temperature of an organic compound layer is changed, while providing a light-emitting element for monitoring the temperature in the light- emission device. |
