PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-LAN connection device that can easily communicate with a plurality of opposite parties via a network with a logical channel without modification of an existing address system of networks. SOLUTION: The inter-LAN connection device 101 has an Ethernet port 16 connected to an Ethernet (R), an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) port 17 connected to a network with a logical channel, and an address table 18 to register an opposite party address of a packet received via the WAN port 17 (an ATM network acting here like a WAN(wide area network)) and number of a received logical channel. Upon the receipt of a packet via the Ethernet (LAN) port 16, the inter-LAN connection device 101 retrieves whether or not an opposite party address of the received packet is registered in the address table 18 and transmits the packet to the destination according to the opposite party address and number of the logical channel when registered.
