PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitting method with which a user can view a fine partial image by a portable telephone set and the image can speedily be switched. SOLUTION: A device is provided with a control means 202 (display image generating means) working an original image which is picked up in an image pickup place 100 into the display size of the portable telephone set 300 and generating a plurality of partial images and a communication means 203 (display image transmitting means) transmitting the image generated in the portable telephone set 300.
