POWER-SAVING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the existing power-saving apparatus of only step-by-step control being possible for an output voltage. SOLUTION: A serial transformer 4 arranged between an AC power supply 1 and a load 6 and a regeneration type inverter 7 of which the output side is connected to a secondary coil are provided for controlling the voltage applied to the load with an output of the regeneration type inverter 7. With this structure, the output voltage supplied to the load 6 can be controlled continuously and the saved power can be supplied stably to the side of load 6 even when a system voltage as the AC power supply 1 is varied.
