<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the biasing of a belt member, and further restraining image deviation between several color images and preventing an image defect from occurring. SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus, transfer material is held between a transfer belt 1 carrying the transfer material and a photoreceptor drum and an image on the photoreceptor drum is transferred to the transfer material. In the apparatus, the belt 1 has a rib in the periphery direction of the end in a width direction and is stretched and laid by a plurality of stretching and laying rollers 1a and 1b and the roller 1b set so that the length in the width direction of a part with which the belt 1 comes into contact is maximum between the rollers 1a and 1b is a driven roller.</p> |
