PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical relay connector apparatus and an optical relay connector which reduce splice loss between respective optical fibers as far as possible when connection between two or more sets of optical fibers is carried out. SOLUTION: A ferrule part 10 is projectingly formed at a 1st connector housing 2, and a plurality of fiber insertion holes 11h which hold an optical fiber 81 end part are formed at the ferrule part 10. A ferrule guide hole 51h for guiding each optical fiber 81 end part into which the ferrule part 10 can be inserted and which is held by the ferrule part 10 toward each end part of the optical fiber 81 held by a 2nd connector housing 42 is formed at the 2nd connector housing 42 where a plurality of optical fibers 81 end parts are held. The ferrule part 10 is formed almost in a shape of ellipse when viewed from the front, the ferrule guide hole 51h is formed in the shape of ellipse corresponding to the front view shape of the ferrule part 10, and rotation of the ferrule part 10 around the axis in the ferrule guide hole 51h can be prevented.
